Robert Johns 3

My name’s Robert Johns and I’m many things but you’ll probably get to know me as an author and a paranormal investigator.

I’ve had many adventures in my life and am always embarking on more so keep visiting and I’m sure you’ll enjoy the ride.

Also, this is the place to find my short stories.  So far I have published, through Gaslight Imagery, several short stories.  I have also launched a series of “Penny Dreadfuls” which feature short tales of mystery and horror. Keep checking back for more…

Also, I will be sharing with you some of my paranormal investigations.  No spirit mediums or crazy “orbs are ghosts” here though.  My investigations rely on scientific methods and good solid conclusions.

Well, I’m at risk of making this sound like an online dating ad so I think that’s about all I’m going to tell you about myself for now…

  1. Hi Robert, forgive me if this is stating the obvious, but if your investigations rely on scientific methods and good solid conclusions – how can you call them ‘paranormal’ investigations? Have you ever seen an orb, just out of curiosity?
Please don’t take that the wrong way, but as someone who regularly sees orbs (and they are not all ghosts) I would love to know exactly what scientific methods and good solid conclusions you are using/have found 🙂

  2. Hi Kate, that’s a really good and challenging question. I suppose that first off, things that are paranormal are indeed described as being beyond scientific explanation. So you are quite right to query that.
However, to quote Sherlock Holmes: “When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth” is a good way to describe my philosophy. I use scientific methods to eliminate what the phenomenon being investigated could be, in the hope that what I am left with is a definitive answer.
I do hope I’ve explained that one sufficiently?

  3. And as for orbs, I’ve seen some, and conducted some analysis and all the ones I have seen, so far, are dust particles.

But I am willing to be proved wrong.

  4. Lol! Yes you explained that very well and I agree with that quote. However I am assuming that the ‘dust particles’ you saw were as a result of you photographing the ‘orbs’? Please prove me wrong if that wasn’t the case! 🙂 But I see orbs all the time both outside and inside with the naked eye, and rarely – unfortunately – have I managed to capture them on a photograph! 😀

  5. Both myself and others photographing orbs. I will be posting an email address very soon where people can get in touch with me to conduct investigations or analysis.
